My second-in-command left this morning at 0530 with a full compliment of minions and one particularly ferocious k-9 unit on her mission to the north country.I will be spending the next six weeks in solitude.

I fear that by the time this is over, I may loose my mind. This log will chronicle that journey.

My fortress is currently well stocked in rations and class-six products. My network communications are at full strength. We will see how long this holds.

I finally sorted out the (hopefully) last pieces I needed to get her back on the road and began reassembly this morning. She's looking good, and only needs a few minor issues sorted before I'm tearing down the road on her again. Once I wire up the lighting, slap the exhaust on, and come up with a new battery and tires I should be good. Let's hope the carbs don't give me too much trouble when I core her back up.

The National Weather Service has issued the following heat advisory for Thursday, July 21 – Saturday, July 23rd:

The combination of temperatures above 100 degrees and very high humidity will produce heat indices in excess of 110 degrees Thursday through Saturday afternoons.  Dangerous heat indices in excess of 110 degrees are possible on Friday afternoon.  Overnight heat indices are also expected to remain elevated in the 80's Thursday and Friday nights.


My people are an arctic people. We don't care for temperatures above 75°. go away heat (preferably before I rid 500 miles on my motorcycle this Friday).

Prior to that, it was all via MySpace, Blogger, LiveJournal, etc...

Most blogs (to include this) don't tend to create much content, they just aggregate content from all over the net. I am seeing less an less reasons to do this with things like Twitter, Facebook, and my new obsession Google+ around. I may be wiping this blog clean and starting from scratch soon. If/when I do, I will focus on only fresh, original content. I have some stories to tell, and one day I will get off my ass and put them to paper (keyboard).
If you want to know about my bikes, pics will be up on Google/Twitter. If you want to see any funny BS I have found on the Internet, same. This site will soon be just for my thoughts, stories, and rants. If I wanted to just aggregate, I would be on Tumblr.

That's enough for now, I have work to do.
